Background and Updates

The upper mantle is the part of the Mother Earth's crust that lies below the continental and oceanic crusts and provides a unifying support for the surface of the planet. Rock derived from the upper mantle is not common at the Earth's surface and is usually separated from its source 4 miles (7 km) to 22 miles (35 km) below the surface. The purpose of the Upper Mantle Project is to provide stabilizing support to Mother Earth for the necessary geophysical changes for her dimensional shift that is underway, which in turn helps minimize harm to living Beings upon the planet who are also experiencing a dimensional shift(see my Great Shift website for more about this: www.preparingforthegreatshift.org). This is accomplished by finding locations where rocks from the upper mantle material is at or near the surface and establishing/reestablishing an energetic connection with the source below the continental or oceanic crust. Placing Peridotite seed stones from the Tablelands in Newfoundland at a location creates an energetic connection with the overall UMP grid for which the Tablelands is the primary anchor point.

Origin of the Project. In the late 1960s I worked as a lab technician at the Department of Geophysics at MIT preparing samples for measuring the seismic properties of different rock under temperatures and pressures the simulated those in the upper mantle. It's only recently that I realized how that created the potential for the deep connection I made in September 2010 with the Tablelands at Gros Morne National Park in Newfoundland, an amazing plateau of peridotite from the upper mantle that has been thrust onto the surface crust from a depth of 40 kilometers. This segment from the EEH Newsletter #54 (August 11, 2011) describes the next stage in the evolution of the project:

POL and Upper Mantle Project Updates. The Elemental Points of Light project has also proceeded with a Divinely appointed timing that from my perspective has proceeded with glacial slowness. And yet when I updated the page in the first time in 20 months I see that the last two POL activations were foundational for the emergence of the Upper Mantle Project. I had no agenda for activating any POLs when I visited Newfoundland last September, but this large boulder of Peridotite and the Elementals at the Tablelands called to me and POL#134 was activated as I stood on top of the boulder looking north to Gros Morne Mountain:

Similarly when I spent a five-day spiritual retreat at Stewart Mineral Springs northwest of Mt. Shasta in early March, I was quite astounded when the Guardian Spirits of the Springs came to me and asked that POL#135 be activated there. I was even more astounded to realize that the orange-brown stones I kept seeing in the vicinity of the springs were Peridotite and looked like they could easily have come from the Tablelands in Newfoundland.

The Project Evolves. The first seeding of a Peridotite stone from the Tablelands in late-August, 2011 was described in EEH Newsletter #55 (July 1, 2012):

Lately my day-to-day life has tended to be pretty normal, but I'd like to share some experience related to the Upper Mantle project that have been magical. When I went to the Olympic Peninsula with my wife Bonnie last August my research had identified Fidalgo Island in the San Juan Island in the Puget Sound as having Peridotite/Upper Mantle material at the surface. I felt drawn to visit Washington Park in the town of Anacortes as a likely place to find such material. All I could find online was a map that showed the road going through the park, but no details. A spot labeled Juniper Point caught my attention and I decided that would be our destination. The road through the Park goes through lush rain forest. We found a parking spot as close to Juniper Point as we could get by road and began walking through the forest. To my delight, the rain forest gave way to Peridotite/Sperpentine barrens that could have been on the Tablelands in Newfoundland:

In a brief ceremony I had the sense of reestablishing an energetic connection between these rocks and the Upper Mantle as I felt at the Tablelands in 2010.

Since that first seeding, EEH members and friends have placed Peridotite seed stones all over the world (see current list of locations below). A connection between the UMP and Dragon energy emerged in 2012 as described in EEH Newsletter #57 (September 10, 2012):

EEH member Alison in Newfoundland has recently brought to may attention how strongly Dragon energy is involved in the geophysical shifts that are taking place as part of the dimensional shift the Mother Earth and humanity are undergoing. What is really interesting to me is that the Juan de Fuca Plate, the only location on the Pacific Rim of Fire to not have a major earthquake in the last 50 years is a remnant of the Farallon Plate which began subducting under North America at the time Pangaea began to break up. It was a magical moment when Alison pointed out to me the amazing resemblance of image of the remnants of the Farallon Plate deep within the Upper Mantle to a dragon:

When I first sensed an energetic connection between the Pacific Northwest and Newfoundland, my rational mind was not able to see one. Above is an image from mainstream geology with the easternmost arm of the remnants of the Farallon Plate in the Upper Mantle touching Newfoundland. It's not the sort of thing that will change paradigms in mainstream geology, but for me it's a sweet confirmation that wherever this work is going, it's on the right track.

Dragon/serpent energy emerged strongly during the July, 2013 Peridotite seedings at Knockdolian Hill (UMP#13) and at Whithorn Priory in southwestern Scotland by EEH member Tom and his partner Sue:

Tuesday 30th July: Visited Whithorn Priory and spoke to historian curator in museum. Asked if he knew where original St. Ninian's shrine - 'Candida Casa' would have been. Doesn't know but suspects below East Altar of Cathedral ruin. This is the crypt and build over in Victorian times. Energy here quite heavy with spirit presences hanging around. The Archaeological dig (later Northumbrian) site next to priory is a field with serpent/dragon or energy ley current flowing through it. Had inner guidance to plant peridotite here.
Tuesday evening: took Pilgrim's path down to St. Ninian's cave. Found the cave to be actual source of energy ley current. The energy ley is deep down here and can be seen etherically arising as vortex of white light just before cave. The resonance inside the cave itself has an overlay of darker energy, possibly through years of use or abuse. Sue felt queasy or sick. Needs a lot of clearing.
Wednesday 31st: Climbed Knockdolian Hill near Ballantrae. Weather sunny. Opened quarters with Archangels. Asked for peridotite to be connected to Upper Mantle Grid, Pangaea Grid, Lemurian Grid and other Planetary Grids working with Christic energy. Asked for etheric link to be created with Whithorn Priory where other peridotite would go. Felt very deep primal earth energy; dragons; elementals were surrounding us for protection; and with Archangel Michael coming in particularly strongly from above. Closed quarters.
Wednesday Evening: returned to Whithorn Priory and opened quarters in Northumbrian (C9th) field. Weather now raining. Asked again for guidance on where to plant peridotite. Was to go on energy ley current and under stone wall. Opened quarters with Archangels. Felt strong energy of St. Ninian and Christ with etheric links going out to other Christic sites. The dragon energy from the Inner Earth came here to the surface very strongly to meet with Christic from above. Sue aware of presence of hooded monk figure with a lamp. Also aware of this myself. The etheric presence here presumably of St. Ninian, name means - 'holder of the light'. Because there was a lot of energy surfacing here, asked for stone to find integration with Knockdolian and with Inner Earth. After a minute or two inner voice reciprocated - "it is integrated." Closed quarters. Felt resonance of peridotite stone in field for some time afterwards.

Patterns that Connect. EEH Newsletter #60 (April 4, 2014) noted the emergence of a pattern in the seedings up to that date:

A pattern has emerged, with all the seedings in the northern hemisphere except for one in South Africa (#11). I've had a sense that the initial phase of the project has assisted in stabilizing and restoring energetic grids that were damaged in connection with the destruction of Atlantis (note the locations going up the east coast of the U.S to Newfoundland to Scotland, England and down to the Pyrenees around the north Atlantic ocean where most sources I've seen place Atlantis). There have also been seedings in Arkansas, Texas and New Mexico along an ancient collision zone between the North American and South American plates (the Ouachita orogeny), which I sense are providing a stabilizing influence in the area of the New Madrid fault zone.

EEH Newsletter #62 (August 30, 2014) provides information on the seeding of UMP#18 (again, strong presence of dragon/serpent energy), and the Supervolcano Stabilization Array that developed in connection with UMP#19 (Buthir, Iceland) and UMP#20 (Stewart Mineral Springs, California).

EEH Newsletter #66 (January 5, 2014 ) provides information on the seeding of UMP#21 (Brazil), UMP#22 (Guatemala), UMP#23 (Rapa Nui/Easter Island), UMP#24 (Solomon Islands) and UMP#25 (Mauna Loa, Hawaii) in conjunction with the November 24, 2014 worldwide linkup for harmony in the tectonic plates), and of UMP#26 (Hicks Dome, Illinois) and UMP#37 (Avon Volcanic Field Kimerlites, Missouri) in conjunction with the New Madrid-Wabash Valley-St Genevieve seismic zone stabilization.

December 29, 2015 Seeding of UMP#28. EEH member Alison in Newfoundland gave some seed stones to a friend who visited Antigua in the Leeward Islands of the Caribbean (where I was able to confirm that Upper Mantle rock is found). Note that Antigua is located on the east side of the Caribbean tectonic plate and provides a nice balance to UMP#22 in Guatemala. Sharon sent some photos and shared the following:

I'm attaching photos of where I buried the crystal. It's at the end of the beach in front of our hotel. A place that I've been drawn to since the first time I went there and had thought that's where I would toss the small stones that you gave me. One photo shows the rock and trees (hill/mountian/whatever you'd call it) that I'm drawn to; the spot where I buried is marked with a heart (to the right of the rocks, this side- and to the right - of the yellowish small rock in the clearing). I placed it there on Dec. 29th. at 4:05 p.m. I didn't pick the spot.. it was chosen for me; I gave my thanks, my intention and thanks for the privilege of doing this. When I went back that afternoon I couldn't find it ... and it was above the water line at that point. Go figure!! Of course if I couldn't find it, neither could anyone else.

Participating In the Project

Do any of these Peridotite stones from the Tablelands call to you?

An interesting aspect of the project is that the Peridotite stones themselves have communicated to me and others who have received them a clear sense of when and where they wish to be placed. Some of you have expressed interest in receiving stones and if you haven't received one, it may just be a matter of timing. If we've had some communication and you still feel called, please send me a reminder, and if anyone else now feels them calling, please let me know by sending me an email: jrb-eeh@bluemarble.net.

Identifying Other Potential Seed Locations

When someone expresses interest in participating in the Upper Mantle Project I begin a search of the geologic literature to find possible nearby locations where upper mantle material is at or near the ground surface. Peridotite (with three main types lherzolite, harzburgite and wehrlilte) is the most common rock in the upper mantle, though other types of rock derived from the upper mantle occur such as dunite, pyroxenite, kimberlite, lamproite, lamprophyre, and komatite. Peridotite is also found in association with ophiolite sequences and may weather to Serpentinite. Rocks derived from the upper mantle are generally call ultramafic and are low in silica (<45%) and high magnesium, iron and other metals and low in potassium. Ultramafic rocks weather to create serpentine soil which are toxic to most plants because of their unusually high iron, chromium, nickle and cobalt content, and nickel-rich laterite.

The following map shows the locations of major occurrences of ophiolites globally (red stars). To this map I've added additional major occurrences of other types of ultramafic rocks that cover >1 sq km (green stars) and other smaller occurences of ultramafic rocks that I've identified in the course of my own research (purple dots).
